Following the tradition of R. Saraswathi Jois I am honored to led this class for YogaGivesBack. India is the birth country of my father, all of my teachers, and many friends and family. Her culture, history and tradition run so deep and have gifted the world with so much. YGB has been helping women and children in rural India for 14 years. I know the Founder, Kayoko personally and have watched her work relentlessly to help the women and children in rural India led happier lives.
Although everyday is a Day for yoga this International Yoga Day let’s give thanks for these profound teachings: Yoga (asana, pranayama, meditation, kriyas, mudras), Jyotish (astrology), Philosophy, Vastu (architecture), Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Chanting and Ayurveda that provide the world with a deep history of knowledge that has been passed on verbally from teacher to student for thousands of years. Thus, maintaining its authenticity.
I have dedicated my life to the teachings of my teachers and the ancient texts that carry impenetrable richness. In honour of Mother India and all she brings to the world. At this time India needs our help more than ever. If you would like to support & join me live click the link below.
