Gaṇapati or Gaṇeśa is traditionally known as the the Remover of Obstacles and God of Beginnings. Prārthana refers to prayer This is a prayer for Gaṇeśa who is usually honoured at the beginning of rituals and invoked as the patron of letters as it is told that Gaṇeśa wrote the Mahābharata from the dictation of Sage Vyāsa.
